Last night I made it point to attend this meeting. Was amongst the first few to arrive and observed the going ons. Very busy people, moving around getting the place ready. Chief judge Ms Lim went into the special room to brief the judges. Ms Parasakti busy running around preparing. Poor lady. Chief Judge Ms Lim called in role players to brief.

Contestants mingling with the relatively huge crowd. Trying their best to remain calm but I can sensed their tension building up as the clock ticked.

At 7.00 pm, almost all the contestants were around except for a few who were supposed to participate.

For Evaluation contest, the persons who signed up were Puan Sopiah, Ms Crissy, Mr Chee Wan, Mr Victor, Mr Andy and Mr Jitesh. Overheard some discussions that Mr Andy will not be here.

For the Humorous Speech contest, the persons who signed up were Mr Rashid, Mr Andy, Mr Chee Wan and Mr Jitesh . But overheard that Mr Rashid will not come and that will be left to only 2 contestants. Fast Forwarding a bit, we learnt that Mr Victor was forced, or rather took up the challenge at the 11th hour to be a constestant for this Humorous Speech contest........wow! very courageous. I admire him.........

Oh yes! the food was fabulous! and aplenty.

The pomp pomp girls from CIMA were all present to support you know wholah... bonus time ke???

Ms sweet Shereen caom up as sarjan to start the meeting. Madam President Ms Shamini did the opening and acknowledged the VIPs. Ms Parasakti took over to explain the contest rules. Meanwhile the crowd got larger from the entourage from TARC.

Test speaker, Mr Raj did his superb speech on leadership. Timekeepers made a blunder by obeserving only 3 minutes for Mr Raj instead of 5-7 minutes. But Mr Raj was steady enough not to be rattled and proceeded on gracefully. A great speaker and I raised my hat to Mr Raj.

5 contestants escorted by sweet Shereen to the special room for 5 minutes. I can feel their tension ready to explode.

Entertained by Ms Hew Pui during the intermission.

One by one the contestants trickled in. I shall not comment on thier presentation as the results are final. In a jiffy, it was all over the 5 who breathed a sign of relieve. Not for 3 others though, Mr Chee Wan, Mr Victor and Mr Jitesh.

After the break, Ms Parasakti took us through the next contest rules. Her voice nearly broke a few times. Poor lady; was very busy before meeting and now durng meeting. Pray that she will recover her voice.

Entertained by Mr Victor . Shown us his injured hand and dramatically thrown away his broken watch. I could not find it later.

Second contestant, Mr Chee Wan with his series of jokes on road signs. Made us lol.

Final contestant, Mr Jitesh on his predicament at the Toll Plaza without any cash. Lesson to learn, don't leave home without a wallet filled with cash.

At the end of the contest, time for the judges to work. The results were ready within a few moments and announcement time.

Congratulations to the champions, Mr Victor and Mr Jitesh. I'm sure they will keep the name of our club high.

I enjoyed myself very much ; where else can you get such entertainment for FREE and will try to pluck up some courage from the contestants and sign up next year.
